Snowdrops! Yes Snowdrops are blooming in my garden. In a small bare patch of earth beside the deck there is one clump of Snowdrops with several flowers.

They are tiny and we would never notice them mid summer but on the 5th of March they are a very large presence in my garden. If my memory is even semi functional then this is the earliest that I have ever seen them.

Go out in your garden and look for the first spots to emerge from the snow and make a note to plant some Snowdrops in that location this fall. A little clever planning can reap huge rewards next year.

This has been an early spring, special edition of Dallying In The Dirt.
